Choose the calculator you need
Six free Pilates calculators I built because clients ask me the same handful of questions in every intro session: which class should I start with, how often should I come, what does a class actually burn, is this package worth it, what do the springs mean, and when can I come back after a baby? No signup, no email, nothing stored — they run in your browser and the answers are yours.

Best for: your very first bookingWhy I built these
Boutique fitness is full of confident numbers with nothing behind them. I wanted tools that show their working — the MET formula, the break-even arithmetic, the reasoning behind a frequency recommendation — so you can disagree with a result if your body or your budget says otherwise.
Each tool also tells you what it can’t know. A calorie estimate has no idea how hard you worked. A frequency plan has no idea that your toddler was up four times last night. Use them to make a decision, then let how you actually feel adjust it.
Where to start
- Never done Pilates? Start with which class is right for me, then read what to expect in your first class.
- Planning a routine? The classes-per-week calculator turns your goal and schedule into a weekly plan.
- Comparing it to the gym? Run the cost calculator alongside my reformer vs gym comparison.
- Confused by the springs? The spring settings calculator explains why heavier is not always harder.
- Coming back after a baby? The postpartum readiness tool places you in the return-to-exercise sequence.
- Tracking your training? The calorie calculator puts a class in context against running, walking and lifting.
Frequently asked questions
Are these Pilates calculators free?
Yes. All six tools are free, run entirely in your browser, and require no signup or email address. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
How accurate are the results?
The calorie tool uses published MET values and is accurate to roughly 20 to 30 percent for an average body. The frequency, cost, spring and class-matching tools use the programming logic and arithmetic I use with real clients. The postpartum tool follows standard return-to-exercise staging. Treat every result as a well-reasoned starting point, not a medical or financial prescription — and for anything postnatal, your own provider outranks any calculator.
Do I need to be a member to use them?
No. They’re built for anyone weighing up reformer Pilates, whether or not you ever set foot in my studio in Utah.
Numbers decided. Now the fun part.Come try a class at Alchemize Pilates and see what your body does with 50 minutes on the reformer.
